Colorado State (1-2) vs. Utah Tech (1-3)When/where: 5 p.m. Saturday/Canvas StadiumTV/Radio: Mountain West Network/1600 AM, 104.3 HD2BetMGM Line: No lineWeather: 79 degrees, mostly cloudyFive storylinesAir Raid, Part I: The wide-open passing game Jay Norvell promised back when he was hired in December 2021 has arrived. One of the primary reasons: The Rams offensive line is giving quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi time to throw. Through three games, the Rams have allowed just five sacks total, only one of which came in last week’s win over Middle Tennessee State. A year ago, the Rams had allowed five sacks before their first game was even finished.Air Raid, Part II: The end result of that protection? Fowler-Nicolosi is picking defenses apart. Through two starts, the redshirt freshman has thrown for 688 yards and five touchdowns, cementing himself as CSU’s starter. Fowler-Nicolosi is spreading the ball around, too. CU Buffs vs. USC Trojans football: How to watch, storylines and staff predictions

No. 8 USC (4-0) at Colorado (3-1)When/where: Saturday, 10 a.m./Folsom FieldTV/Radio: FOX/850 AMBetMGM Line: USC -21.5, 73.5 over/underWeather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83Five storylinesResponse to adversity: Last Saturday was the first time the Buffs were brought back down to earth in the Coach Prime Era after thrilling wins over TCU, Nebraska and CSU in double OT to start the season. Now it’s time to see what sort of gusto CU really has against a USC program that’s owned CU. If the Buffs come out and get embarrassed again, the rest of the Pac-12 schedule will seem twice as daunting. Time for CU to answer the bell.Buffs’ non-existent run game: CU had 55 net rushing yards against TCU, 58 against Nebraska, 70 against CSU and 40 against Oregon. That equates to only 55.8 yards per game, which is making the CU offense one-dimensional, and, in turn, making quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ job twice as difficult. Unless CU can start to establish some ground-and-po...

Keeler: Has Deion Sanders turned CU Buffs into 2023 version of Pete Carroll’s USC Trojans? From The Rock to Lil Wayne, Boulder’s where stars want to be.

BOULDER — Who needs Will Ferrell when you’ve got Lil Wayne and Ralphie?A year ago at this time, the home sideline at Folsom Field was radioactive. Now it’s the new Crypto.com Arena, the sporting venue where stars — we’re talking A-list dudes: The Rock, Master P, Offset, Terrell Owens — want to be seen.“That doesn’t happen anywhere, for real, unless you’re in Los Angeles and you’re winning,” LenDale White, former Broncos running back, USC star and Chatfield High state champ told me a few days ago. “Bama? People don’t stop there (unless) you’re winning. (Then) people want to be a part of that.“But for people to already be at CU and seeing that excitement already. I haven’t seen that effect in college football. Even in my (time at USC), I was on teams where we had two Heisman winners and my spring game never had a sellout crowd or stuff like what the CU spring game had.”White was a Denver ki...

Broncos Journal: Cornerback Damarri Mathis has a plan to overcome his early season struggles: “Play with swag”

Published Mon, 24 Feb 2025 01:38:33 GMT

Damarri Mathis is no stranger to slow starts. As a rookie, he drew four defensive pass interference penalties in his first career start Week 6 at the Los Angeles Chargers. Now a second-year player, Mathis has struggled out of the gates as the Broncos’ starting cornerback opposite Pat Surtain II.Playing across from Surtain, who most quarterbacks tend to avoid from the start, is not easy duty by any stretch. But Mathis has been picked on. Las Vegas did it with Jakobi Meyers while Surtain put down a quietly ridiculous performance against All-Pro Davante Adams. Then Washington worked to get Terry McLaurin matched up with Mathis, too.Sunday against Miami, well, pretty much everybody struggled.Mathis, the former Pitt standout, is most comfortable in man coverage and still learning the nuances of NFL defensive systems. He’s shown he can be a physical tackler, but has missed his share — it’s been a common theme for Denver’s defense in general — so far through three games.Mathis told The Post t...

What to play: Expansion DLC gives players new reasons to revisit ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ and ‘Resident Evil 4’

Published Mon, 24 Feb 2025 01:38:33 GMT

Downloadable expansions have changed over the years. They used to be ways for developers to capitalize on content that went on the cutting room floor, but slowly, as games left the brick-and-mortar retailers, and became digital, this content became more elaborate and in some cases transformed into projects that were just as good as the original. The past few weeks saw two big expansions. The first comes from CD Projekt Red, which launched its “Phantom Liberty” expansion for “Cyberpunk 2077” and the second is “Separate Ways,” a side story that tells Ada Wong’s side of things in “Resident Evil 4.” That’s in addition to a surprise release from Valve, which doesn’t happen every day. Here’s what you should be playing this weekend: “Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty” — After a disastrous 2020 launch, CD Projekt Red didn’t write off its sci-fi epic. Instead, the developers kept working on it, revamp...
