But the the first of only three hits he allowed over six innings came around to score and proved to be the only run for the first eight innings of a 3-0 Giants win, improving to 13-2 over their past 15 games and 10-0 away from home this month. The 10-game road winning streak is San Francisco’s longest since 1952, before moving west. No team in MLB history has gone unbeaten for an entire month with at least 12 road games; the Giants can become the first with three more wins to close the month.Brandon Belt nearly did in his former team, doubling in the eighth to put the tying run on second base with two outs, but the Giants (45-34) called on Camilo Doval, who g...

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to defend planned takeover of game-maker Activision Blizzard in court

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is due in court Wednesday to defend the company’s proposed $69 billion takeover of video game maker Activision Blizzard against an attempt by federal regulators to block the deal.Nadella and Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick are both scheduled to testify before U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley on the fourth day of a court hearing in San Francisco. We’ll see tomorrow but for right now I don’t think it’s too serious.”Kershaw has been anchoring an injury-riddled rotation this year and his workload of late might have been a factor in him coming out early Tuesday night, manager Dave Roberts said.“We’ve pushed him the last few...
